In Mobility Work, an individual task can either be deleted or cancelled, depending on your needs.
These two actions do not have the same consequences. This article helps you choose the right option and explains how to proceed.
Difference between deleting and cancelling an individual task
Before taking action, it is important to understand the difference:
Deleting a task
- The task is permanently deleted from the system.
- All associated activities (interventions) are deleted.
- The stock is not recalculated after deletion.
- The task history is permanently removed.
👉 Deletion is irreversible.
Cancelling a task
- The task is kept in the system with the status Cancelled.
- Information and history remain accessible.
- The task can no longer be performed or modified.
- Cancellation allows you to keep traceability without deleting data.
👉 Cancellation is recommended when the task should no longer be carried out but must remain visible for tracking purposes.
Steps to delete an individual task
- Open the individual task concerned.
- Click on the actions menu (three dots icon).
- Select Delete.
- Choose the reason and confirm the deletion.
