- Roles: Administrator, Technician
- Plans: Premium, On demand
Unlike individual tasks, tasks in a maintenance plan are generated based on the predefined criteria and triggers within the plan itself. Therefore, the preparation of spare parts required for these interventions is done within the plan as well.
An administrator user can specify the spare parts needed for future interventions. This simplifies the preparation of the intervention, as the person in charge of the task will know exactly what to prepare to carry out the intervention.
Similarly, the list of these parts to be prepared will be available to the administrator for stock planning for the current and upcoming week. For more information, please consult this article: How to plan the necessary stock for the next period?
How to add spare parts to a plan?
The user can add spare parts to provide when creating or modifying a maintenance plan. It is important to note that adding these parts is not mandatory.
Simply click the + button in the dedicated section and select the spare part by typing its name or item code.
If a spare part is selected in the Spare parts to provide section, it is also necessary to specify the required quantity.
How to modify a spare part to provide?
If the quantity of a spare part to provide needs to be modified, the user can do so by clicking the pencil icon to the right of the part.
The field with the quantity to provide will become editable.
It is also possible to view the related part by clicking the eye icon on the right.
The page with the part will open in a separate tab.
How to delete a spare part to provide?
It is possible to delete a spare part from a plan.
To do this, simply click the red trash can icon. However, it is important to note that this modification will only apply to future, unfinished tasks. Validation of this action is required for it to take effect.
How to handle spare parts to provide in the tasks of a maintenance plan?
A network administrator can add or modify spare parts scheduled for tasks within a maintenance plan. For example, if a plan does not specify any spare parts, the administrator can add them for a specific task. Similarly, if the administrator wants to modify an already associated spare part for a task, they can do so directly from the task, just like in the case of an individual task. However, these changes will not affect the global maintenance plan or the other tasks in the plan; they will only apply to the specific task.
Conclusion
Administrators and technicians can specify the spare parts needed for each intervention within a maintenance plan, simplifying the preparation of interventions and stock management.
The list of spare parts to be prepared is then created based on the tasks scheduled for the current and upcoming week. Specifically, all spare parts to be prepared related to these tasks will appear in the stock list to ensure smooth execution of the operations. This list is available in the spare parts search page by clicking on the Consult stock to be provided button.
