An equipment's history tells you everything, but it tells you slowly: dozens of interventions to read through to understand what keeps recurring, what has already been tried, and what still needs watching.
The AI Summary reads the equipment's interventions and what's attached to them: description, status and delay, originating maintenance plan, labels, assigned people, activities performed with time spent, and spare parts consumed. It does not read comments, attached documents, or meter readings. Based on the last six months of interventions on the equipment, it produces a short, decision-oriented text: what happened, what keeps recurring, what deserves attention.
The feature is in beta. Its behavior and quality evolve regularly.
Generating a summary
- Open the equipment record.
- Go to the Intervention History tab.
If no summary exists yet, click Generate summary.
- Generation can take up to a minute. The text appears as it's produced.
The summary is then saved and dated: the note Generated on … shows how old it is. The next users who open the tab see that same summary, without needing to regenerate it.
The summary is written in the language of the user who generates it, then kept as-is for the whole network. If you view it in a different language than the one it was generated in, regenerate it to get it in yours.
Regenerating a summary
The Regenerate summary button produces a new version based on the current history. Each generation replaces the display with the most recent one.
Past one month, a message invites you to regenerate: "This summary is more than a month old. Regenerate it to reflect recent activity." An old summary isn't wrong, but it ignores everything that has happened since.
Acting from the summary
Two actions are offered below the text:
- Create a task — opens task creation for this equipment in a new tab, without re-entering the context and without losing the summary on screen.
- Helpful / Not helpful — your opinion on the summary's quality. This feedback is used to improve the feature.
- Copy summary, which copies the text to the clipboard. Useful for pasting it into a report or a message.
What to know before relying on it
- The summary depends on the quality of your entries. It reads what your teams wrote in the interventions: a sparse history produces a sparse summary.
- It only sees six months. A recurring failure on an annual cycle won't show up.
- It's a reading aid, not a diagnosis. It replaces neither the technician's expertise nor consulting the history itself.
- It changes nothing. No task, plan, or equipment data is created or changed by the generation.
- Generation is rate-limited: a few generations per minute and per user. Generating too fast in a row is temporarily refused.
If generation fails, the message "The summary could not be generated. Please try again." appears: relaunch the generation. If the message "Your diagnostic quota has reached its limit. Contact your CSM to increase it." appears, there's no point relaunching: contact your Mobility Work representative.
