When should you edit the equipment?
Editing an equipment allows you to keep information up to date throughout its lifecycle: changes to technical characteristics, location updates, document additions, or corrections to existing data.
Equipment can be edited at any time, as long as it exists in your network.
Steps to edit an equipment
Access the equipment record
From the Equipment menu, select the equipment you want to update.
Click Edit equipment
The Edit equipment button is available on the dedicated page of each piece of equipment.
Update the required information
The equipment record becomes editable, allowing you to adjust the desired fields.
Editable information
When editing an equipment, you can update in particular:
- General information (name, description, photo)
- Technical and administrative data
- Cost center
- Item code
- Associated labels
- Links with other equipment
- Custom fields
- GTIN / EAN code
- Equipment visibility (public or private)
Once the changes are made, save the equipment record so that the updates are applied immediately.
