Ways to create equipment
There are two ways to create equipment in Mobility Work:
1. From the activity feed
From the Mobility Work home page, click the Create an equipment button.
2. From the Equipment menu
- Open the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Click on the Equipment tab.
Select the Create equipment button.
Information to fill in during creation
When creating equipment, several fields are available:
- Equipment photo
Helps visually identify the equipment. - Equipment name
It is recommended to use a clear naming convention, for example:
Asset type – Brand – Model – Equipment number – Area or production line. - Equipment description
Can include the asset type, contract type, serial number, or any other useful information. - Cost center
Represents the financial breakdown or geographical area associated with the equipment. - GTIN / EAN code (optional)
Barcode of the equipment. - Item code (optional)
Internal reference of the equipment. - Labels
Allow you to categorize and filter equipment according to your needs. - Equipment links
Allow you to link multiple pieces of equipment together to create a hierarchy or bill of materials. - Custom fields (optional)
Additional fields configured according to your organization’s specific needs. - Equipment visibility
- Private: visible only within your network.
- Public: visible to the entire Mobility Work community, with company and user names anonymized.
Finalization
Once all information has been filled in, save the equipment. It will then be available for task assignment, intervention tracking, and maintenance management.
