Editing a spare part allows you to update its information (description, location, costs, etc.) to ensure accurate and up-to-date stock management in Mobility Work.
Edit spare part information
- Go to the Spare Parts.
- Select the spare part you want to edit.

Click the Update a spare part button.
The spare part record switches to edit mode, allowing you to update the available fields.
The editable fields of a part are:
- name,
- item code,
- unit price (amount + currency),
- thresholds (minimum, maximum),
- replenishment batch,
- storage location,
- tags.
Once your changes are complete, make sure to save them so they are correctly applied.
Specific case: stock modification
For traceability and history purposes, the stock of a spare part cannot be modified directly from the spare part record.
To adjust the stock quantity, you must use one of the following options:
- Replenish: to add parts to the existing stock
- Inventory: to correct or recalculate the actual stock
Stock can also be impacted by the consumption of parts during an intervention (via activities on tasks) and the cancellation of consumption.
