This involves regularly assessing the needs for parts and equipment to avoid shortages and maintain optimal workflow. Proper stock management also helps reduce costs and improves the team's responsiveness to unforeseen circumstances.
This is why Mobility Work has developed a feature that helps identify spare parts needed for the upcoming two-week period.
How to view the stock to be forecasted?
You can check this list on the spare parts search page by clicking on the View Stock to Forecast button.
Two tabs will appear, showing the spare parts forecast for the current week and for the next week.
Next to each part to be forecasted, you will see the required quantity for the period and the current stock.
How does it work?
The list of spare parts to forecast is generated based on the tasks scheduled for the current and following weeks. Specifically, all spare parts associated with those tasks will appear in the stock forecast list, ensuring that operations run smoothly.
For example, if a task is scheduled for the following day and part A has been added to the Spare Parts to Forecast section of the task, the specified quantity of part A will be included in the stock forecast list for the current week. This ensures that all necessary parts are available in time.
