A public equipment in Mobility Work is accessible to all users in the community. This feature allows sharing best practices and useful information with other users who have the same type of equipment. However, to preserve confidentiality, the names of companies and users remain anonymous and are not displayed on public equipment.
The information shared publicly includes:
- Equipment name
- Equipment description
- Tasks related to the equipment
- Linked equipment (if made public)
- Linked spare parts (if made public)
Note: To see which information in the tasks related to the equipment is visible publicly, please refer to this article.
On the other hand, a private equipment is only accessible to users within your specific network.
By default, a spare part or equipment is private when created.
The choice between a public and private equipment depends on your specific needs for information sharing and collaboration. Public equipment promotes knowledge exchange on a larger scale while maintaining user anonymity, whereas private equipment ensures more confidential data management within your own network.
