Available for
- Roles: Administrator, Technician, Production, Service Provider (if assigned)
- Plans: Starter, Premium, On demand
In Mobility Work, the creation of a work order or a service request is done through the creation of a task. This can be initiated by an administrator, a technician, or a requestor (production operator).
It is important to distinguish between tasks that belong to a maintenance plan and tasks that are not related to a maintenance plan, also known as individual tasks.
In this article, we will address the management rules for individual tasks. To view the rules for tasks related to a maintenance plan, please consult this article.
How to Create an Individual Task?
Available for
- Roles: Administrator, Technician, Production
-
Plans: Starter, Premium, Ultimate
You can create a task in several ways:
- From the sidebar by clicking the "+" symbol
- From the activity feed
- From the equipment or spare parts list by clicking the "+" symbol
- From the equipment or spare parts record
- After scanning a QR code with the mobile app
Then, simply enter the following information:
- Concerned Equipment or Spare Part (mandatory): Specify the equipment or part related to the task. You can choose to search only among the equipment or both equipment and spare parts.
- Description (mandatory): Provide a precise description of the problem or action to be performed. You can include up to 3,000 characters. Click here for information on how to format the description using markdown.
- Start Date and Time (mandatory): Specify the date and time the intervention should start. You can also select an entire day.
- End Date and Time: Specify the date the intervention should end.
- Planned Maintenance Time (optional): The scheduled duration for performing preventive or corrective maintenance, minimizing production downtime.
- Planned Stopped Time (optional): Refers to periods when equipment or machinery is intentionally stopped for maintenance, inspections, or repairs.
- Assigned Users (mandatory): Select the technicians assigned to this task. By default, the task creator’s name is selected, but you can also add or create a team to include several people.
- Labels: These tags help classify the task. Labels can be predefined to characterize the work order, specifying urgency, whether the task can be done without stopping the machine, etc. Depending on the configuration, they can be optional or mandatory. Learn more about label usage here.
- Spare Parts to Provide (optional): These help plan the intervention efficiently by anticipating needs.
- Checklist (optional): Represents control points or procedures to follow during the intervention.
You also have the option to notify the assigned users via email (note that if the creator is also the assignee, they will not receive this notification). Simply check the corresponding box before validating and creating the task.

How to Delete an Individual Task?
Available for

- Plans: Starter, Premium, Ultimate
If a task needs to be deleted, it can be done by the administrator or the user who created it.
However, deleting tasks results in the loss of any related activity (intervention). This means that any spare parts issued will be lost. On the other hand, the stock will not be restored to its previous value after the task is deleted.
