When creating an equipment item, you have the option to link one or more other pieces of equipment. This feature allows you to structure and define relationships between your machines, creating sub-assemblies or establishing coherent bills of materials within your system.
Using links between equipment is particularly useful for organizing your inventory and optimizing asset management. For example, you can group several machines used in the same production process under a single main equipment item, thereby simplifying the visualization and management of these related items.
Once the links are established, you can easily find all equipment associated with a specific machine. This information is accessible on the detailed equipment file, located at the bottom of the page, under the 'linked equipment' section.
This feature allows you to efficiently navigate your inventory and understand the interrelations between different equipment, thus facilitating preventive maintenance, work planning, and optimization of operations.
