The selection basket is built as you browse: you check the parts to reorder the moment you spot them, from the spare parts list or from a part's record. Both sources feed the same basket, which you can then turn into a purchase order.
Adding parts from the spare parts list
- Open the spare parts list (Spare parts menu).
- Spot a part to reorder (for example a part that has dropped below its stock threshold).
- Check the box at the start of the row. You can also check the header box to select all the displayed parts.
- Repeat for each part to add.
As you go, the Add X part(s) to a purchase order button updates at the top of the list, next to the Clear selection link.
⚠️ You can apply filters and change pages: parts already checked stay in your selection.
Adding a part from its record
- On a row in the list, click the Add to a purchase order icon to the right of the part; or open the part's record to review its stock and history before adding it.
- The part joins the same basket as those checked in the list.
This is useful when a need comes up while browsing, for example when checking the part associated with a piece of equipment.
Reviewing and keeping your selection
The selection is designed to follow your work rhythm:
- It stays in place when you change pages or apply a filter
- It survives a browser reload
- It is scoped to your network: a part selected on one site cannot end up in an order meant for another
You can therefore prepare your needs continuously, across several screens, without fearing the loss of work in progress.
Concrete example
A maintenance manager reviews stock at the start of the week:
- He checks a bearing and two belts found below threshold.
- He moves to the next page and adds a filter.
- He opens a motor's record, verifies its associated part and adds it as well.
When it is time to finalize, his selection holds all five parts, in the right order, without having had to note them anywhere.
Access rights
The selection basket is reserved for administrators of networks with the Purchase Orders module. Other profiles keep read-only access to purchase orders.
