Tag groups allow you to gather several tags into a single category.
This article explains how to modify a tag group, make it mandatory when creating tasks, and delete it, as well as the impact of each action.
What is a tag group?
A tag group combines several tags into a single set to facilitate:
- Task classification
- Quick selection of tags when creating a task
- Traceability and tracking of interventions
Each tag in the group keeps its individual properties, even if the group is modified or deleted.

How to modify a tag group?
Steps:
- Go to the Tags menu, then the Tag groups tab.
- Click the Edit button next to the desired group.
- Add or remove tags in the group (tags must be created beforehand).
- Optionally, activate Only one tag can be selected if you want to limit selection to one tag per task.
- Save your changes.
When creating a task, a maximum of one tag from the group can be selected if the “Only one tag” option is enabled.
How to make a tag group mandatory?
It is possible to require selecting a tag from the group when creating a task.
Steps:
- Go to the Tags menu, Tag groups tab.
- Click Create a group or edit an existing group.
- Enable the option A tag from this group is mandatory to create a task.
- Save your changes.
Once enabled, the group appears in the task creation form and all users must select a tag from the group.
How to delete a tag group?
A tag group can be deleted if it is no longer needed.
Steps:
- Go to the Tags menu, Tag groups tab.
- Click the trash icon next to the group.
- Confirm deletion.
Consequences:
- The action is irreversible.
- Tags in the group remain available as individual tags.
- Tasks already created with the group retain their tags, which become optional.
