We are pleased to announce the upcoming release of the new version of the Mobility Work CMMS maintenance plans.
This migration is the first step of the maintenance plans redesign, and will contain the same functionalities as the ones you know today, improvements in terms of reliability and performance, but also the possibility to add spare parts and consumables to be planned on a maintenance plan, as well as the improvement of the calendar planning system.
Discover the details of this update!
Notable changes from the previous version of the maintenance plans:
- To save your filters in the agenda, save the URLs of your filters in your web browser so you can access them directly.
- The functionality to change tasks to "completed" in bulk will be available in a future release.
- To print a task, click on the "printer" icon on the task page. This action will generate a PDF. To download it, click on the notification icon at the top of the page.
- Adding links to documents in tasks will be available in a future release.
- Update of the calendar display on the mobile application: all tasks, regardless of their status, appear one below the other. It is still possible to filter the tasks on the desired status.

Update on the mobile calendar display
1. Maintenance plans
Maintenance plan search and overview
It will now be possible to search the list of maintenance plans. Note that it is no longer possible to filter them by cost center.
To consult a maintenance plan or edit it, you must now click on the "eye" icon.
Creating, editing and archiving a maintenance plan
Regulatory maintenance plan
When creating a maintenance plan, you can indicate if it is a regulatory maintenance plan.
End date and archiving
Maintenance plans no longer have an end date, and therefore have an unlimited duration.
However, you can archive them, or pause them momentarily and restart them whenever you want.
It is not possible to unarchive a maintenance plan.
It is also no longer possible to delete a maintenance plan.
Observers
When you create a maintenance plan, you can add observers who will be notified by email each time a task is completed.
Spare parts and documents
You can now fill in the spare parts needed to perform the tasks of the maintenance plan. This action is only possible when editing the maintenance plan (i.e. after validating its creation, or later).
The documents associated with the plan can also be added after its creation, when editing.
Management of the tasks of a maintenance plan
End or cancel a task
It is no longer possible to complete a task before having completed or cancelled the previous tasks, which means that the order of the tasks in a maintenance plan can no longer be changed.
On the other hand, it is now possible to cancel a task in the maintenance plan, for example when it cannot be completed. It is no longer possible to remove a task from a maintenance plan. This improves traceability.
Notification that a task has been completed
You can choose to be notified when a task is completed by clicking on the little bell at the top right of the task's form.
Checklists
When a checklist associated with one or more maintenance plans is modified, the modifications are automatically taken into account for all future tasks not yet started.
It is therefore no longer necessary to make the modification on each future task. For the tasks already started, the modifications will not be taken into account in the associated checklist.
2. Task forms
Fields edition
The task interface has been improved. You can now edit each field one by one directly from the task page without going through the task edit page.
Task ID
The task identifier is now alphanumeric (composed of letters and numbers), not just numeric. The former identifiers are backward compatible and will not be lost.
History
From now on, the history of a task is more precise: all the modifications made to this task (new activity, change of assignee, etc.) can be consulted.
Next and previous task
This shortcut allows you to access in one click the previous and the next task of your maintenance plan, and thus to quickly consult your intervention reports.
A direct link to the maintenance plan is also available.
Printing a task
The printing format of the tasks has been improved. The printing of a task is now done in the form of a PDF with more information than before and usable directly on the field by your stakeholders (logo of your company, associated checklist, date and signature fields to transmit to a provider ...).
To print a task, click on the "printer" icon. When the notification that printing is available appears, you can download the PDF after reloading the page.
Spare parts
On the task sheet, you can now see the spare parts needed for the intervention and the stock status.
Search for tasks
Only completed tasks and the next task from a maintenance plan are now displayed in the task search results as well as on the equipment record.
Calendar
Saved filters
In the new version of the maintenance plans, it is no longer possible to save filters directly in the application. You must save the URLs of your filters in your web browser to save them and access them directly.
To do this: once you have selected and applied the filters in the calendar, select the URL that will appear in your browser. Then add this URL to your favorites, or save it by copying it to an easily accessible location.
Once you have saved the URL with the desired filter, simply paste it back into the URL space to access the filters as you have configured them.
This procedure does not save a date range, which will have to be added again once the URL is pasted.
Replanning tasks
As seen above, the order of tasks in a maintenance plan cannot be changed.
This is reflected in the calendar tab: it is no longer possible to move a task in a maintenance plan before the previous or next one.
Update on the mobile calendar display
All tasks, regardless of their status, appear one below the other.
It is still possible to filter the tasks by status.
