You can use your own QR codes or barcodes instead of the default QR codes generated by Mobility Work when creating equipment.
This feature allows you to avoid deploying new QR codes if you already have your own, thus simplifying the management of your equipment.
How does it work?
Only administrators or technicians can link an external QR code to an equipment. Users with a production role can only scan equipment without the ability to associate a QR code.
Note: Each QR code must be unique within the same network.
How to link your QR codes to equipment?
To associate an external QR code with an equipment in Mobility Work, follow these steps:
-
Scan the QR code using the mobile app.
-
If the scanned QR code does not match any existing QR code (whether generated by Mobility Work or your own), the app will offer to associate it with an equipment.
-
Choose the equipment or spare part to link.
-
The link is successfully established.
How to remove the link between an external QR code and an equipment?
You can remove an external QR code linked to an equipment or spare part at any time. The QR code can then be reassigned to another equipment or part (even those it was previously linked to).
Steps to remove a link:
-
Access the equipment or spare part via the web application.
-
Click on the QR code icon to display it.
-
In the Linked QR code section, you will see the associated code with a delete button on the right.
-
By clicking this button, the QR code will be removed from the equipment or spare part after your confirmation.
Please note that the Mobility Work QR code will still function whether it is associated with an external code or not.
