A counter is a device used to track the usage, performance, or status of equipment or machines. It could be measuring operating hours, production cycles, or any other relevant metric. The data collected from counters can help plan and schedule maintenance tasks effectively.
How does a counter work in Mobility Work?
In Mobility Work, you can create and record counters to measure specific values such as distance traveled, energy consumed, or usage of utilities like gas, electricity, and water. You can also track machine downtime, etc.
Each counter is characterized by a name and a unit, and it is linked to maintenance interventions.
For example, a counter could track downtime for a machine. In this case, the name would be Downtime and the unit could be hours. You can log the downtime during a corrective maintenance task and assign it to the relevant equipment.
How to use counters in maintenance tasks?
Once you’ve set up counters in your network, workers can use them when recording their maintenance tasks, such as completing checklists or logging activities.
For example, when performing a task, the user can select the counter they need and enter the corresponding value (e.g., the machine downtime during a repair).
If the counter is already set up as part of a checklist, the user will only need to input the value.
How to track counter readings?
All counter readings can be viewed on a dedicated page within the Dashboard section of Mobility Work. This feature is available to administrators only.
