What is the offline mode?
The "offline" mode refers to a deactivation of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and location service of your phone or mobile device (airplane mode, lack of internet connection, poor signal, etc.).
Mobility Work's mobile application now allows you to continue to enter interventions in your CMMS, even if your mobile device is no longer connected to the Internet.
Who can benefit from the offline mode?
Premium and Ultimate users can benefit from this feature from their mobile device.
What actions can be carried out using the offline mode of the CMMS?
If your mobile device is offline, you will be able to create tasks and add one activity to it, which will synchronize when restoring connection.
The following actions are available offline:
- create tasks on a piece of equipment :
- modify the task created in offline mode;
- declare the created task as completed ;
- create an activity corresponding to the created task ;
- add a counter to the created activity and fill in values;
- add spare parts to the created activity and fill in values.
You can add as many tasks as you want, but it is only possible to add one activity per task.
To enter tasks and activities on a piece of equipment, it is necessary that it already exists in the CMMS. It is not possible to create equipment offline. It is therefore necessary to synchronize the equipment base beforehand, in order to be able to intervene on your entire machine park offline.
How to synchronize your equipment database?
This action must be performed before intervening in offline mode, in the presence of Internet connection. We invite you to perform this operation frequently if you often use the offline mode.
Open the left side panel of your mobile application, and click on "Offline mode".
This gives you access to the latest synchronized data.
To synchronize your equipment database, click on "Synchronize equipment" to update your database. This operation will only take a few seconds. There is no need to stay on this screen, you will receive a notification when the procedure is completed. Once this has been completed, you can see that the equipment base has been synchronized. You can now enter interventions on these new equipment from the offline mode.
This screen also allows you to perform the following actions (pictograms at the top right):
-
deleting the cache
-
offline data access
How to enter interventions (tasks and activities) in offline mode?
To add a task once in offline mode, you must scan the QR code of the concerned equipment.
You will then be redirected to an 'Offline Data' screen, containing all the data entered offline (tasks and activities) awaiting synchronization.
It is possible to delete the information entered before synchronizing it.
To add an activity to a task, add your activity following the usual procedure from the task; it is possible to enter counter values or spare parts. After validation, it will appear in the "Activity" tab of the same page waiting for synchronization.
How to synchronize data entered offline?
On the 'Offline Data' page, check the "Synchronize when network is available" box.
Once your Internet connection is restored(deactivation of the flight mode or access to network coverage), your application will synchronize the data entered offline, which will immediately appear in your news feed.
